tragedy in life

the tragedy in life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach

This means to mean that its not bad if you have a goal and you do not reach it, what is bad is wen you do not have a goal for yourself  at all. You need to set a goal for yourself wether you reach it or not.
